DSP/Caregiver - Up To $28.13/hr on Weekends!
About The Position
Residential Program Specialists are Direct Support Professionals who provide support, supervision, role-modeling, and behavioral management to youth and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and significant behavioral or mental health issues. The role focuses on helping people build fulfilling lives and develop maximum independence. Work includes community access, unpaid relationships, social and daily living skills, medication and behavior management, safety-related physical interventions, and thorough data collection and documentation. Weekend hours are paid at time and a half, with weekend wages listed as $27.38–$28.13 per hour. Schedules consist of 10–12-hour shifts, with day and graveyard options across specified days. Recruiting locations are Monmouth, Corvallis, Silverton, and Salem, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Provide support, supervision, role-modeling, and behavioral management to youth and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and significant behavioral or mental health issues.
- Foster community access and unpaid relationships.
- Build social and daily living skills with the goal of achieving maximum independence.
- Manage medications.
- Manage behavior, including using physical interventions designed to maintain safety for the person and others.
- Collect data and complete documentation thoroughly and accurately.
