About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical growth and enjoyment. The role also contributes to a welcoming store culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will partner with students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and sharing students’ goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the instrument or area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student enrollment based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Provide customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their children.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
