About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student enrollment and help each student continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also supports an excellent Customer experience and the growth and retention of long-term students.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
- Share student goals and progress frequently with students and/or parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
