About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach bass lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting students’ musical growth and enjoyment. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and may include assisting with customer service as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach the instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as bass.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the instrument or area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate students’ progress and goals to students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
