About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and calls for a customer-first approach that provides an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assist with customer service as needed, and build long-term student relationships through a positive learning experience. You will also communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, building trusting partnerships that recognize parents’ knowledge of their children.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
Share each student’s goals and progress with the student and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
