About The Position

Concorde Education partners with schools and community organizations to provide enrichment for elementary, middle, and high school students. The organization is expanding its network of instructors with experience in drone piloting, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), aviation, robotics, engineering, STEM education, aerial photography, or related technology fields for current and upcoming independent-contractor instructional assignments. Traditional classroom teaching experience is not required for every program. Relevant experience may come from professional drone operation, aviation, teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, STEM programs, camps, youth organizations, military service, photography/videography, engineering, or other relevant settings. Assignments are part-time and typically involve 1–4 instructional hours per week for approximately 8–10 weeks. Opportunities arise throughout the school year and depend on partner needs, instructor qualifications and expertise, location, and scheduling availability. Work is in person at partner schools and community-based locations. Most assignments pay $50–$65 per instructional hour, though rates vary; the applicable compensation range is provided in the posting and/or assignment details. Programs may cover drone flight fundamentals and controls, safe operation, pre-flight checks, aviation concepts, flight planning, navigation, manual and automated flight modes, drone coding, flight challenges, aerial photography and videography, UAS engineering, real-world drone applications, related career pathways, and introductory FAA and Part 107 concepts when appropriate. Curriculum, equipment, platforms, grade levels, and objectives vary by assignment. These are independent-contractor instructional opportunities. Assignment offers depend on program availability, qualifications, scheduling compatibility, school-partner requirements or approval, and completion of any legally required screening or clearance process. Applying or completing screening and onboarding does not guarantee an assignment, minimum hours, future work, or continued engagement. Assignment details are provided before an instructor accepts an assignment.
