About The Position

The company is expanding its network of instructors with backgrounds in drone piloting, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), aviation, robotics, engineering, STEM education, aerial photography, or related technology fields for part-time independent-contractor instructional assignments. Traditional classroom teaching experience is not required for every program; relevant experience may come from professional drone operation, aviation, teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, STEM programs, camps, youth organizations, military service, photography or videography, engineering, or related settings. Assignments take place in person at partner schools and community-based locations. Assignments differ in curriculum, equipment, drone platforms, student grade levels, objectives, location, schedule, enrollment, and duration. Compensation varies by assignment and location; the posting gives a general range of $50–$65 per instructional hour, while the listed salary is $50–$100 per hour. Specific assignment and compensation details are provided before an instructor accepts an assignment. Depending on the assignment and student grade level, programs may cover flight fundamentals and controls, safe operation, pre-flight checks, aviation concepts, flight planning and navigation, manual and automated flight, coding, mission-based challenges, aerial photography and videography, UAS engineering, real-world applications, career pathways, and introductory FAA and Part 107 concepts when appropriate. Applying or completing screening and onboarding does not guarantee an assignment, minimum hours, future work, or continued engagement. Offers may depend on program availability, qualifications, schedule compatibility, school-partner requirements or approval, and completion of legally required screening or clearance. Applicants should not provide criminal history information unless requested through an applicable, legally compliant process. Concorde Education provides equal opportunity in selecting independent contractors and does not discriminate on the basis of characteristics protected by applicable law.
