About The Position

This is a posting for a Regular Part-Time Professor position in the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa for the 2027 Winter Semester. Requirements

  • Knowledge of methods for resolving conflicts of laws.
  • Ability to determine international jurisdiction and applicable law in private international legal relations.
  • Understanding of conditions for recognizing and enforcing foreign decisions.
  • Competence in bijuridical approach (common law, statutory law, and Quebec law).
  • Competence in French (language of instruction).
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
