Coastline Automation Inc DBA Coastline Academy•Richmond, CA

About The Position

Coastline Academy is hiring a driving instructor to teach students practical driving skills and help them become safe, confident drivers. Instructors teach from the passenger seat of a company-provided vehicle equipped with a second instructor brake and inspected by certified mechanics. Lessons are recorded by dashcams capturing audio and video inside and outside the vehicle. The company pays for instructor certification training, which totals 60 hours: 40 hours of self-paced virtual learning and 20 hours of hands-on driving and practical mentorship. The mentorship includes shadowing 10 hours of live lessons and completing 10 hours of direct coaching with a Certified Trainer. Instructors do not conduct student lessons alone until they are ready. Schedules follow student demand, which is concentrated in afternoons and weekends. A typical day consists of three two-hour lessons.
