About The Position

The Driver ensures safe and prompt transportation for PACE participants, including meal delivery and delivery of essential supplies. The role maintains vehicle cleanliness and safety and promptly reports vehicle issues to the Transportation Manager.

Drivers transport PACE participants with attention to their safety, comfort, and satisfaction; follow schedules while responding to unforeseen changes and participant needs; and operate vehicles in accordance with regulations and safety standards. The position also provides physical assistance when participants board or leave the vehicle and communicates identified needs and concerns to appropriate team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Safe driving history of at least five years.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience with elderly or frail populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles in compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Provide physical assistance to participants as needed while boarding and disembarking.
• Discuss identified needs and concerns with appropriate team members.
• Deliver meals and essential supplies.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety and promptly report issues to the Transportation Manager.
