About The Position

Biocair is hiring a Driver to collect and deliver important, time-sensitive shipments for the life sciences industry. The role transports a select number of time-critical and temperature-sensitive consignments, including medicines and patient samples, safely, carefully, and on time while maintaining high standards of customer care. It is a busy, fast-paced role requiring organisation, safety awareness, attention to detail, independent working, and close collaboration with colleagues.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 07:00 and 18:00. It is fully onsite at Biocair’s New York office in Lynbrook, NY 11563. Applicants must have the right to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Offered candidates are subject to pre-employment screening, including a denied party background check, motor vehicle records check, and E-Verify work authorization check.

Requirements

• Professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Flexible, proactive approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in transport, courier, logistics, or freight forwarding environments.
• Valid US driver's licence held for at least two years.
• Fewer than two moving violations within the last 24 months.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must have the right to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver vital healthcare and research shipments safely, on time, and with utmost care.
• Prepare and pack temperature-sensitive and specialist materials to high quality standards.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience and build trusted relationships with customers.
• Ensure shipments, documentation, and processes meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Carry out vehicle checks and help keep the fleet safe, clean, and ready to use.
• Maintain organised, temperature-controlled storage and warehouse environments.
• Follow safe working practices while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to solve problems, support customers, and continuously improve work practices.
