About The Position

The Local Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and promptly delivering propane to customers. The role includes delivering, loading, and unloading propane while providing exceptional customer service, maintaining safe handling practices, and conducting vehicle inspections and maintenance. The driver uses technology to monitor and track inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizes, and to record delivery information and submit daily reports where necessary. The driver coordinates with the Dispatcher on routing and scheduling, and promptly reports product, customer, routing, scheduling, safety, or mechanical issues. Overtime may be required when business needs require it. Other duties may be assigned. Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from customer containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
• Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets and complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to high safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, where applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and follow their guidance.
• Work overtime when required by business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
