About The Position

Orgill is hiring a Driver in Bangor, Maine, for $80,000 per year. The role involves operating a tractor-trailer with one or more trailers, delivering and unloading merchandise at customer stores, and completing required transportation paperwork. Drivers must provide excellent customer service, manage merchandise safely and efficiently, follow safety policies and DOT requirements, and be available to work as needed. Overnight stays are required. The position may also include Shuttle Driver functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Current Class A license and HazMat endorsement; doubles are required.
• At least two years of tractor-driving experience.
• Adhere to all DOT requirements and be willing to perform Shuttle Driver functions.
• Be willing and able to work as needed; overnight stays are required.
• Excellent driving history.
• Commitment to high safety standards and compliance with safety policies and practices.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Good comprehension skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management.
• Attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer with one or more trailers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip functions.
• Deliver and unload merchandise at customer stores, by hand when necessary.
• Complete required paperwork, including DOT logs, manifests, trip reports, and fuel reports.
• Provide excellent customer service and manage customer merchandise in a timely and safe manner.
• Take direction from a supervisor.
• Maintain excellent attendance and reliable predictability.
• Adhere to distribution center housekeeping guidelines.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
