About The Position

P&S Transportation is seeking a Driver Manager to manage the daily activity of driver personnel. The role directs drivers assigned to designated territories or dedicated operations, supports their safety and productivity, and helps ensure on-time customer deliveries. It is a salaried position based at the Ensley headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. Requirements

• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or 1–3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management.
• Proficiency with truck dispatch software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Flatbed experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate estimated arrival times (ETAs) with load planners.
• Use McLeod operating software to assign work to drivers across the country.
• Direct drivers’ daily activities in designated territories or dedicated operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and business objectives.
• Guide drivers on compliance with applicable local, state, and federal trucking statutes.
• Help ensure drivers are safe and productive and deliver to customers on time.
• Counsel drivers and assist them with over-the-road issues.
• Help drivers keep important documents and requirements current, including driver’s licenses, random drug tests, and physicals.
