About The Position

DMT Trucking, a specialized flatbed operation and part of the PS Logistics family, is seeking a Driver Manager to oversee the daily activities of its driver personnel. This role offers the opportunity to be a great manager for a great fleet, ensuring drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on time. The company operates over 350 trucks and nearly 500 trailers across five terminals in the eastern half of the United States, utilizing all 53-foot trailers. DMT Trucking's mission is to operate safely, treat employees fairly and with respect, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or any related field OR 1-3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management.
Proficient experience with truck dispatch software.
Microsoft Office knowledge.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented and have great interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Flatbed Experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Communicate ETAs with load planners.
Utilize McLeod (operating software) to assign work to drivers nationwide.
Direct the daily activities of drivers to designated territories or dedicated operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and business objectives.
Provide drivers with guidance on complying with local, state, and federal trucking industry regulations.
Ensure drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on-time to customers.
Counsel drivers and assist them with over-the-road issues.
Assist drivers with keeping important documents up to date, such as driver’s license renewal, random drug tests, and physicals.
