About The Position
The Driver/Appliance Installer is responsible for safely delivering, installing, and providing basic service for household appliances at customer locations. The role combines operating a company delivery vehicle with hands-on technical work and customer interaction. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a positive customer experience. The position involves transporting and installing appliances, testing them after installation, explaining their use and care to customers, and handling old appliances as needed. It also requires maintaining delivery and installation records, inspecting equipment, and following workplace safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy appliances, often weighing 50–100+ lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous delivery or installation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle in compliance with local, state, and federal transportation laws.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ovens.
- Install and connect appliances according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Perform basic testing to confirm proper functionality after installation.
- Provide customers with instructions on appliance use and care.
- Remove and properly dispose of or relocate old appliances as needed.
- Maintain delivery logs, installation records, and required documentation.
- Inspect equipment and promptly report vehicle or product issues.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
