About The Position

Chartwells K12 is hiring an on-call Driver Helper at Stroudsburg School District in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The schedule is on call, with days varying and stated hours of 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; further details are provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $17.32 per hour.

The position prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Captain and delivers food and beverages to catered functions using a catering delivery truck. Duties also include setting up and breaking down functions, serving guests, returning tables to their proper positions, and returning leftover food and equipment to the Catering Department.

Because the role is performed in an educational facility, there may be periods when work is not required, such as winter and summer breaks. Such periods are unpaid temporary layoffs, though business needs may require year-round work, potentially at a different location during breaks.

The posting states that prior experience driving a box truck is required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must possess or be able to obtain a food handler's permit and/or alcohol server's permit where required by state law.

Requirements

• Prior experience driving a box truck.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Arrange tables and decorations.
• Set buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Distribute and collect customer comment cards.
• Clean and pack dishes and utensils for removal to the Catering Department.
• Return unserved food and beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the Catering Department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
