About The Position

The Driver transports residents, staff, and visitors to scheduled and unscheduled appointments within a gated retirement community. The role involves operating non-CDL passenger buses, vans, and sedans, including vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts. Drivers assist passengers with boarding and exiting, prepare vehicles for use through inspections and refueling, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and log and track vehicle usage. This is an on-call/PRN role at Highland Springs, a continuing care retirement community in North Dallas, Texas.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
Must be at least 21 years old to drive.
Valid state driver's license, which must be maintained as a condition of employment.
Must possess or be able to obtain before starting a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner's Certificate indicating successful completion of a D.O.T. physical examination; the certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.
Ability to operate vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, including securement systems.
Ability to safely operate community vehicles, including non-CDL passenger buses and sedans, demonstrated by successful completion of a road test.
