About The Position

The Driver is an on-call position responsible for transporting residents to and from appointments and outings using community vehicles, which may include buses, vans, limousines, sedans, and trams. The Driver ensures residents receive appropriate assistance during outings and fulfills operational tasks involving driving. The position is with Vi at Bentley Village in Naples, Florida.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience as a bus or van driver.
A valid and current driver's license for the vehicle class driven at the time of hire.
Willingness and ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness and ability to become certified.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Clean DMV driving record that can be maintained.
Knowledge of the surrounding neighborhood area.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and ability to handle stress and the needs of older adults.
Ability to use a client- and customer-focused approach to problem solving and goal setting.
Sensitivity to the needs of older adults.
Compliance with Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening process.
