About The Position

This is a part-time, on-call position in the Lease & Rental - Badgerland Idealease department, located in Racine. The driver picks up and delivers medium- and heavy-duty trucks between company locations and may travel to customer locations, body companies, or repair facilities. Compensation is $20.00–$21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Current, valid Class A CDL is mandatory.
• Interstate Federal Medical Card.
• Driving record must meet the company liability insurance provider’s standards.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus special technical training, is desired.
• No automatic transmission restriction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver trucks between Lakeside locations safely and promptly, and potentially between customer locations, body companies, or repair facilities.
• Load and unload vehicles as needed.
• Communicate with the Driver Central Coordinator about the daily schedule and vehicle conditions.
• Fuel trucks.
• Drive trucks to and from weight stations and weigh trucks as requested.
• Complete the Daily Driver’s Log documenting daily activities and Truck Movement Forms.
• Inspect, fuel, and clean driver central fleet vehicles as necessary.
• Assist the Badgerland Idealease, Body Shop, Service, and Parts Departments as needed.
• Perform special assignments as directed by the Driver Central Coordinator, Used Truck Manager, or New Truck Manager. Assignments may include cleaning service bays; emptying waste and metal containers; restocking restroom supplies; cleaning and salting service and building front entrances; and assisting with event setup and takedown.
