About The Position

Better Living, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hardworking Driver Helper at its Troy, Virginia facility. The role works alongside delivery drivers to transport and deliver building supplies to residential and commercial customer job sites. It is an active, hands-on outdoor position suited to someone who enjoys teamwork and physical activity. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends. Pay is $16.00–$17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 to 100 pounds regularly.
• Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and a positive team attitude.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and jobsite protocols.
• Previous construction, warehouse, or material-handling experience is not required; training will be provided.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are preferred.
• Previous construction, warehouse, or material-handling experience is a plus.
• Potential to serve as a backup or future driver.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery drivers with loading, securing, transporting, and safely unloading lumber and building materials at job sites.
• Stage, maneuver, and position heavy construction materials safely.
• Represent Better Living professionally and courteously at job sites.
• Inspect and strap loads and prepare staging areas and trucks before departure.
• Keep equipment, delivery vehicles, and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.
