About The Position

The Building Materials Technician reports to the Building Materials Manager for daily instructions. Work functions may change throughout the workday and will revolve around the daily operations of the building material yard. The role includes handling, organizing, preparing, and delivering materials, fabricating rebar, and maintaining the yard and grounds. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Required driver's license.
• Work well in a team environment and complete tasks independently with little supervision.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Be willing and able to learn and be trained to safely operate all equipment.
• Demonstrate accountability.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and customers in the field.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience working in construction, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
• CDL.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials on delivery trucks.
• Make deliveries to commercial and residential jobsites using non-CDL flatbed trucks.
• Organize and stock material in the warehouse.
• Pull material orders.
• Fabricate rebar.
• Perform general yard maintenance and groundskeeping.
• Carry out additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
