About The Position

The Assembler is an entry-level position performing repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs. The role may involve working at different workstations as production needs require and adapting to changing tasks as varying product models are produced. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate information verbally in individual and small-group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including prolonged standing, frequent walking and handling materials, and lifting items up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, varying outdoor weather conditions, temperature extremes, possible electrical shock, vibration, and loud noise, while wearing required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Place parts in specified relationships to each other.
• Fasten parts together using bolts, clips, screws, cement, or other methods.
• Cut products to specified measurements as needed.

• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Adapt to changing tasks as different product models are produced.
• Clean equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
