About The Position

The Driver Helper works alongside delivery drivers to deliver beer and other products to local accounts. The role supports changing routes and account types based on daily needs, handles product and payments, and completes required delivery and transportation documentation. Driver Helpers may also be assigned warehouse duties. Candidates may participate in the company’s internal, paid CDL-A training program and potentially pursue a career as a Delivery Driver. The listed pay is $18.00 per hour, with potential to move into a full-time role based on performance at a rate of $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Ability to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 165 pounds and fulfill the physical requirements of the job.
Ability to work in a wide range of temperatures, including 36°F and outdoor temperatures.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
Desire to obtain a CDL-A license.

Responsibilities

Follow an outlined itinerary and work as part of a team whose account types and delivery routes may change based on daily needs.
Collect payments from accounts as needed.
Lift, stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights to accounts.
Complete and submit required paperwork, invoices, display forms, load sheets, and cash or checks within appropriate time frames.
Complete Department of Transportation checklists accurately and report maintenance problems and accidents promptly.
Manually load and unload product from a side-loader truck.
Collect payment for product as required.
Perform warehouse duties when assigned.
