About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Driver Helper to ride on a vehicle and assist a Driver in providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services to residential customers on a designated route. The Helper safely loads waste and carries bags and containers to the vehicle for disposal, assists the Driver in maneuvering the vehicle by directing from the ground, and helps keep the vehicle, route, and work area clean.

Responsibilities

Ride on the vehicle and assist the Driver while servicing customers on a designated route.
Operate the packing mechanism and various levers and handles to activate the lifting and loading mechanism.
Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip; spray and clean the hopper and truck, if applicable.
Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections in accordance with Company policy and report safety issues on standard reports.
Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure routes are serviced promptly and professionally.
Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
Clean areas around accidental waste spills while adhering to applicable safety standards and policies.
Meet required departmental productivity standards so customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Help maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.
