About The Position

This is a non-safety sensitive position where the Driver Helper will be responsible for loading, securing, and unloading merchandise. The role involves planning routes, meeting delivery times, and interacting positively with customers. The position requires the ability to quickly learn about merchandise and documentation related to store-to-store transfers and third-party shipments. Daily assignments and responsibilities must be checked, and excellent customer relations are expected.

Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs.
• Flexibility for long haul assignments
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Positive attitude when working with internal and external customers
• Knowledge of employment merchandise handling, and safety procedures.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 30 lbs constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

• Loading merchandise, securing the merchandise and unloading merchandise from the loading docks and delivery truck at specified locations.
• Planning routes and meeting delivery times.
• Quickly gain knowledge of merchandise and documents used in the store-to-store transfer process, as well as third party shipment of loads.
• Check daily assignments and responsibilities.
• Use excellent customer relations with both internal and external customers.
• Any other duties as directed by management.
