About The Position

The Delivery Driver safely and efficiently operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations, delivering freight undamaged. The role works with a team to load and unload building materials and provide excellent customer service at commercial and residential job sites. Work is primarily outdoors at active construction and customer sites, under varying weather conditions, and may involve early starts, overtime, and schedule flexibility.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with at least a Class B license.
• Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment as needed.
• Ability to judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating a boom.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with management and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Class A commercial driver's license is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and trailers for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
• Deliver materials to the customer’s assigned area while prioritizing personal and public safety.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Report accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
• Operate commercial delivery vehicles and, as applicable, material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
