About The Position

The Delivery Driver safely and efficiently operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and Federal and State regulations, delivering freight undamaged. The role works as part of a team to deliver, load, and unload building materials while providing excellent customer service. Deliveries are made to commercial and residential job sites, with materials placed in areas directed by customers. Work is primarily outdoors and on active construction and customer sites under varying weather conditions. The role may require early morning starts, overtime, and schedule flexibility to meet customer and operational demands. The position reports to the head Dispatcher and/or Operations Manager and/or Branch/Area Manager. Travel is required as needed. The job is located at Below Structure, 5495 Industrial Blvd, Milton, FL 32583.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with a minimum Class B license.
Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment as needed.
Ability to judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating a boom.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with management and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

Class A commercial driver's license is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect the truck and trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
Safely load building materials onto a flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
Deliver materials to the area specified by the customer while prioritizing personal and surrounding people’s safety.
Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
Follow transportation safety regulations and required safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
Manage time and scheduling to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient operations.
Use transportation systems and perform vehicle checks.
Communicate professionally with customers, management, and coworkers; collaborate with logistics and operations teams.
Resolve transport-related issues and keep accurate records and documentation.
