About The Position

The Delivery Driver safely and efficiently operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations, delivering freight undamaged. The role works as part of a team to deliver, load, and unload materials while providing excellent customer service. Deliveries are made to commercial and residential job sites, where materials are placed in the customer-designated area with attention to safety.

Work is performed primarily outdoors at active construction and customer sites in varying weather conditions. The position involves handling heavy and bulky building materials, operating commercial delivery vehicles and, as applicable, material-handling equipment, and following required safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment. Early morning starts, overtime, and schedule flexibility may be required to meet customer and operational demands. Travel is as needed. The position is located at Ohio Valley Drywall Supply in Stow, Ohio.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL); minimum Class B license.
• Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and move building materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment as needed.
• Ability to judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating a boom.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with management and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Class A commercial driver's license is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and trailers for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto a flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
• Deliver materials to the area designated by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
