About The Position
The Delivery Driver safely and efficiently operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations, delivering freight undamaged. The driver works as part of a team to deliver, load, and unload building materials while providing excellent customer service. Work is performed primarily outdoors at active construction and customer job sites in varying weather conditions. The role includes regular operation of commercial delivery vehicles and, as applicable, material-handling equipment. Early morning starts, overtime, and schedule flexibility may be required to meet customer and operational demands.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL); a minimum Class B license is required.
- Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- General knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment as needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly and exchange accurate information with management and coworkers.
Nice To Haves
- Class A commercial driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trucks and trailers for defects to ensure safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to the area specified by the customer while prioritizing personal and public safety.
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams.
