About The Position

The Driver Assistant rides with Drivers in tractor-trailers, tandem trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes to help deliver and unload products safely and on time, in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations. The role assists with every aspect of product delivery, including loading and unloading vehicles and placing products in customer-designated areas. It also involves completing required documentation and communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Monday through Friday hours, with a start time between midnight and 4:00 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the foodservice industry.
Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the foodservice industry.
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

Assist the Driver in safely and accurately delivering products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles.
Place products in areas identified by customers.
Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
Communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, answering questions accurately and promptly.
Work as a team member within the department and organization and perform assigned duties to best serve the company.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
