About The Position

Urth Caffé is seeking a dedicated Drink Runner to support restaurant operations on the AM and PM shift team. The role delivers beverages from the kitchen to guests' tables promptly, helps keep runner and bar areas stocked and clean, and follows food-safety and safety procedures. The position involves substantial standing and walking, handling materials, and working in varied environmental conditions. PM availability is listed for Monday through Sunday.

Requirements

• Prior restaurant experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with food handling and basic kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and unassisted; assistance will be provided for items over 25 pounds.
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Ability to safely climb ladders.
• Ability to work in cold temperatures.
• Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly for most of the day.
• Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, stooping, balancing, reaching, and pushing.
• Ability to perform physical activities in varied environmental conditions requiring moderate strength, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs, heaters, and umbrellas, rotating during the week.
• Stock straws, napkins, saucers, and spoons at the runner station.
• Run beverages during the shift and refill bottled beverages.
• Clean and polish French presses.
• When delivering drinks, bring napkins, utensils, and straws; repeat the drinks to the guest; ask whether they are waiting for anything else; and, if not, take away the table number and invite them to enjoy their beverages.
• Refill the ice drawer, cups, and lemons throughout the shift.
• Keep the bar runner area clean at all times.
• Call out the correct customer name and provide the full description of the drink.
• Follow food safety standards and procedures at all times.
• Wear a safety belt and safety shoes at all times.
• Use a hand truck to move or lift anything over 15 pounds.
• Watch for wet floors and spills, place signs, and dry spills immediately.
