Driller Assistant - Kansas City, KS
About The Position
Intertek-PSI is seeking a Driller Assistant to join its Professional Services Industries, Inc. team in Kansas City, Kansas. The role supports the Driller with soil drilling, rock coring, sampling, classifications, in-situ testing, and monitoring well installation. It is part of the architectural, engineering, and construction industry, within a company that provides construction assurance, testing, and inspection services. The position requires travel up to 60%, and the employee must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed. Compensation is based on candidate-specific factors. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 60%.
- Ability to work off shift and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently and, occasionally, more than 50 pounds with assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Driller with loading and unloading augers and assembling and disassembling augers.
- Prepare tooling and supplies for the day’s tasks.
- Assist with locating boring locations.
- Retrieve and log samples.
- Clean and maintain equipment and perform site cleanup.
