About The Position

The Drafter supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will have progressive responsible administrative and/or technical support assignments, evaluate, select, adapt and modify standard techniques and criteria to plan and conduct assignments. They will have experience with requirement tools, plans, schedules, and coordination of detailed phases of work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria. Review of all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented. Interpret requirement specifications based on user requirements and high-level system/network architecture. Support system/network architecture design and development activities. Integrate/implement separating system/network engineering management, system integration, and/or test. Review and implement new sites with communication hardware, networking, and encryption requirements. Integrate/implement solutions to applications, problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems/network management and integration functions. Prepare/update layout drawings/packages used for installation or troubleshooting of IT equipment. Performs independent, non-routine assignments within areas of responsibility. Prepare and assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets to be checked by subject matter experts. Confer with subject matter experts to prepare drawing packages to support personnel involved in maintenance activities, project planning, and day-to-day operations of IT equipment. Establish schedules for package reviews on a quarterly basis. Apply concepts for developing and establishing drawing databases, templates, requirements. Accomplish tasks of moderate scope and solves problems that require investigation of a select number of variables. Review completed drawings for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations. Interpret requirements and perform analyses to ensure that objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Must have 4 years or more of general work experience
  • Must have 2 years or more of general work experience
  • Proficient in Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Visio
  • High school diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in field
  • AutoCAD Certification a plus
