About The Position

The CMAC Systems Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). This role involves installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades, as well as analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues. The candidate will configure, optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware, perform system backups and recovery, and build servers. Responsibilities include providing systems administrator support for systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces. The role also involves managing file servers and network access, analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting system anomalies, and providing server, workstation, and system expertise, including travel. Coordination and scheduling of system upgrades and maintenance, providing guidance and training to others, and serving as backup to other computer systems administrators are also key duties. Additionally, the position requires ordering new hardware and software replacements, including warranty claims.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • 5 years or more of general work experience
  • 2 years or more of directly related experience
  • Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Sec+)
  • Working knowledge and system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware
  • VMWare and system visualization
  • Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
  • Red-hat or Linux experience/knowledge
  • Understanding virtual machine and Remote Desktop
  • Windows System Administration experience or Background with SPADOC or space situational analysis/space orbital

  • AS degree in a computer field
  • VCP/VCAP
  • Cyber and Space Operations experience
  • Basic understanding of network topologies and protocols
  • Remedy trouble ticket experience

Responsibilities
