About The Position

This is a full-time, year-round position at Ocean Downs Casino, located near Ocean City, MD. The role offers an exciting career in the casino industry with a fun team environment. The position includes a compensation package with medical benefits, paid sick time, paid vacation time, paid personal time, holiday pay, and 401k options. The dealer rate is $5.00 and the supervisor rate is $21.25.

Requirements

Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience as a Table Games Dealer.
Proficient in Dice and Roulette.
Effective knowledge of casino management software and live games equipment.
Good game protection skills and knowledge.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.

Responsibilities

Creates and ensures a fun-filled entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
Acknowledges and greets guests warmly and sincerely on and off the game.
When acting in a Supervisor capacity, conducts and enforces table transactions and provides signatory validations as appropriate according to company and regulatory rules.
Monitors and supervises dealers and table games activities.
Advises management of progress, disputes, problems, suspicious activity, and substantial play.
Ensures accuracy and completion of all signatory paperwork and transactions.
Ensures the protection and integrity of assigned games, currency, chips, playing cards, dice, and other assets in assigned areas.
Complies with State Lottery Regulations and Company Internal Controls.
Knowledgeable in and actively promotes company marketing and promotional events and is proficient in answering guest questions. Ensures dealers are briefed accordingly.
Makes suggestions and recommendations for the enhancement of services and operations.
Promotes outstanding customer relations.
Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
