About The Position

Rummel Construction, Inc., a heavy civil general contractor specializing in mass excavation and grading, is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator. This safety-sensitive role operates heavy construction equipment on projects that may include cut/fill and mass excavation work. The operator is expected to understand cut/fill operations, recognize hazards and safety precautions, and work safely throughout the jobsite and in varied weather conditions. The operator works alongside experienced operators to meet daily project goals and is expected to care for assigned equipment. The company typically works Monday through Friday, although some project schedules may require Saturday work. Travel is required. Requirements

Approximately 3 or more years of experience in the construction industry.
Experience in earthmoving and heavy construction, with knowledge of cut/fill operations across a variety of projects.
Ability to work safely at all times and understand jobsite hazards and safety precautions.
Ability to get on and off equipment using three points of contact.
Ability to walk safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsite.
Ability to work safely in hot, humid, cold, wet, and other weather conditions.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy construction equipment on construction projects.
Apply knowledge of cut/fill operations and mass excavation work.
Work safely and maintain awareness of jobsite hazards and safety precautions.
Conduct daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and report defects to supervisors.
Use three points of contact when getting on and off equipment.
Walk safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsite.
Work safely in varied weather conditions.
Take care of assigned equipment and work with other operators to meet daily goals.
