Experienced Dozer Operator
About The Position
Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator for its heavy civil construction projects. The role involves operating heavy construction equipment and requires experience with earthmoving, mass excavation, and cut/fill operations. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring awareness of hazards and safe work practices. The operator will work with experienced crews focused on safety and meeting project goals. Rummel emphasizes equipment care and setting employees up for success. The company typically works Monday through Friday, though some project schedules may require Saturday work. Travel is required.
Requirements
- Approximately 3 or more years of experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in earthmoving and heavy construction, including knowledge of cut/fill operations on a variety of projects.
- Ability to get on and off equipment using three points of contact.
- Ability to walk safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsite.
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions, including hot, humid, cold, and wet conditions.
- Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy construction equipment.
- Follow safe work practices and remain aware of equipment and jobsite hazards.
- Conduct daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and report defects to supervisors.
- Perform cut/fill and mass excavation work across a variety of projects.
