About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Dozer Operator for the stripping crew, based at the Gordonsville Quarry in Gordonsville, Tennessee. The role will also service the Cross Plains Quarry as needed. The successful candidate will have heavy machinery operating experience and an uncompromising focus on safety. This is a full-time position with starting wages of $25.00 per hour; mileage is reimbursed when servicing the other location.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating large dozers or similar heavy machinery is preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather and tolerate exposure to loud noises.
• Willing to work in a team environment and assist coworkers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Able to learn new tasks quickly.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 immigration document.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dozer and other heavy equipment to complete stripping and overburden removal for quarry operations.
• Service and maintain equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Perform and document daily pre- and post-operation inspections in compliance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively as applicable to the position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Follow company policies and OSHA, MSHA, and environmental regulations for safe working procedures and conditions.
