About The Position

Valet Living is hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also called Service Valets, to help keep apartment communities clean, safe, and welcoming. This role offers local evening work collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents’ doorsteps and transporting it to an on-site compactor. Work is performed at one or more nearby apartment communities in the same local area; long-distance driving, bulk item collection, and off-site dumping are not part of the role.

The position typically offers 10–15 or more hours per week, with schedules generally running Sunday through Thursday and starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM. The listed pay rate is $24 per hour for workers using a pickup truck and $20 per hour for workers using a tow vehicle and utility trailer. Workers use a mobile app to check in, track work, and take photos when needed. Gloves, safety vests, and equipment are provided. The job involves walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must have an open-bed pickup truck, or a vehicle capable of towing an open utility trailer and the trailer used for the job; SUVs, sedans, and vans without an open bed or trailer do not qualify.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Active auto insurance for the vehicle used for the job.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Smartphone with a data plan to download and use the work app.
• Willingness to receive SMS/text communications about pre-employment, scheduling, and work-related information.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide proof.
• Ability to work independently and follow a consistent routine.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs.
• Ability to work around bagged trash and waste.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities
