About The Position

Valet Living is hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also called Service Valets, to help keep apartment communities clean, safe, and welcoming. Each service night, the specialist collects residents’ bagged trash and cardboard recycling from apartment doorsteps and transports it to the on-site compactor using an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of towing an open utility trailer. The role serves one or more nearby apartment communities within the same local area, with no long-distance driving, bulk-item collection, or off-site dumping.

This is an active, outdoor evening role involving walking through apartment communities, climbing stairs, and working around bagged waste. Specialists use a mobile app to check in, track work, and take photos when needed. The position typically offers 10–15 or more hours per week, usually Sunday through Thursday, starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, with no weekends. The truck pay rate is $25 per hour, and DailyPay is available. Gloves, safety vests, and equipment are provided. The ongoing application opportunity may suit someone seeking supplemental income or a second job.

Requirements

• Own an open-bed pickup truck, or own a vehicle capable of towing and an open utility trailer to use for the job; SUVs, sedans, and vans without an open bed or trailer do not qualify.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Maintain active auto insurance for the vehicle used for the job.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a smartphone with a data plan to download and use the work app.
• Be willing to receive SMS/text communications throughout pre-employment and employment, including updates, scheduling, and work-related information.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide proof.
• Be able to work independently and follow a consistent routine.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs.
• Be able to work around bagged trash and waste and outdoors in various weather conditions.
