About The Position

Valet Living is hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also called Service Valets, to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling from apartment residents’ doorsteps and transport it to an on-site compactor. The role serves one or more nearby apartment communities during an evening shift, with assignments kept within the same local area. It involves walking communities, climbing stairs, and working outdoors. There is no long-distance driving, bulk-item collection, or off-site dumping. Workers use a mobile app to check in, track their work, and take photos when needed. Applicants must use either their own open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of towing an open utility trailer, together with a trailer used for the job. Vehicles without an open bed or trailer, including SUVs, sedans, and vans, do not qualify. The role is part-time and typically offers 10–15 or more hours per week, with evening schedules generally running Sunday through Thursday and starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM. The truck pay rate is $23 per hour; the non-truck pay rate is $20 per hour. The employer also notes DailyPay, referral bonuses, provided safety equipment, and opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

Own an open-bed pickup truck, or have a vehicle capable of towing an open utility trailer and a trailer to use for the job; vehicles without an open bed or trailer, including SUVs, sedans, and vans, do not qualify.
Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Maintain active auto insurance for the vehicle used for the job.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have a smartphone with a data plan to download and use the work app.
Be willing to receive SMS/text communications related to pre-employment and employment, including updates, scheduling, and work information.
Be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide proof.
Be able to work independently and follow a consistent routine.
Be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Be able to walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs.
Be able to work around bagged trash and waste.
Be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
