Donor Recruitment Representative
About The Position
LifeSouth is seeking a Donor Recruitment Representative in Anniston, Alabama, to help maintain a steady and reliable blood supply. The representative works in the community to recruit blood donors through individual interactions and to connect with local businesses, schools, and organizations to arrange and coordinate blood drives. The role also involves community outreach, events, and social media to raise awareness; educating and motivating potential donors; meeting recruitment goals; following up on donor leads; and building relationships that encourage repeat donations. This is a full-time position with a starting salary range of $19.00–$20.90 per hour. A criminal background check and drug screen are required after a conditional offer of hire. LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements.
- Consistent and reliable transportation.
- Motivated, outgoing personality and interest in meeting new people.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Goal-driven mindset and passion for the lifesaving mission.
- Excellent organization and follow-through.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years of sales or marketing experience preferred.
- CDL holders preferred; additional compensation is available.
- Sales, marketing, community outreach, or fundraising experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Recruit blood donors through one-on-one interactions.
- Partner with local businesses, schools, and organizations to set up and coordinate blood drives.
- Conduct community outreach through events and social media to raise awareness and recruit donors.
- Educate and motivate people to donate blood by explaining the impact of donations.
- Achieve recruitment goals in support of hospitals and patients.
- Follow up on donor leads and build relationships to encourage repeat donations.
