About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an experienced, results-driven District Recruitment Manager in Dunwoody, Georgia. This leadership role develops and executes donor recruitment strategies, builds community partnerships, and leads a team of Donor Recruiters to achieve district blood collection goals. The manager helps expand LifeSouth’s community presence, identify blood drive opportunities, and drive team performance to support a reliable blood supply for local hospitals and patients. The position requires on-call availability and may involve evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed. The starting salary is $62,000–$68,200 annually, commensurate with education and experience. A criminal background check, credit check, and drug screen are required after a conditional offer of hire. LifeSouth is a nonprofit community blood center serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. It operates more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles, and approximately 2,000 blood drives per month. Its mission is to provide a safe blood supply that meets or exceeds the needs of the communities it serves and to support ongoing and emerging blood- and transfusion-related activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least three years of supervisory or management experience.
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while achieving performance goals.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage community partners and stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities and oversee multiple initiatives.
Goal-oriented and proactive approach, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency with computers and business software applications.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain LifeSouth’s driver eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in blood banking or a related healthcare environment.
Management experience in donor recruitment, community outreach, public relations, marketing, or sales.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the district’s donor recruitment team, establishing performance expectations and accountability.
Develop and execute annual recruitment plans and strategies to achieve district blood collection goals.
Monitor recruitment performance, blood drive projections, and collection goals, and implement corrective strategies when needed.
Identify and secure new blood drive opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing sponsors and community partners.
Oversee community outreach initiatives to increase blood donation awareness and LifeSouth’s presence throughout the district.
Manage donor recruitment operations, including staff scheduling, drive management systems, and recruitment activities.
Collaborate with district leadership and corporate departments to address operational needs and support district objectives.
Oversee employee training, development, and performance evaluations in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Represent LifeSouth at community events, organizational partnerships, and media opportunities.
Promote accountability, teamwork, exceptional customer service, and continuous improvement.
