Donor Recruitment Representative
About The Position
The Donor Recruitment Representative works in the community to help maintain a steady and reliable blood supply. The role focuses on recruiting blood donors through one-on-one interactions, coordinating blood drives, community outreach, and follow-up with donor leads. The representative educates and motivates people to donate and works toward recruitment goals that support hospitals and patients in need. This is a full-time position in Gainesville, Georgia. The starting salary range is $21.50–$23.65 per hour. A criminal background check and drug screen are required upon a conditional offer of hire.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements.
- Consistent and reliable transportation.
- Motivated, outgoing personality and enjoyment of meeting new people.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Goal-driven mindset and passion for the lifesaving mission.
- Excellent organization and follow-through.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years of sales or marketing experience preferred.
- Sales, marketing, community outreach, or fundraising experience is a plus but not required.
- CDL holders preferred; additional compensation is available.
Responsibilities
- Recruit blood donors through one-on-one interactions and encourage them to donate at bloodmobiles and donor centers.
- Partner with local businesses, schools, and organizations to set up and coordinate blood drives.
- Conduct community outreach, participate in events, and use social media to raise awareness and recruit donors.
- Educate and motivate individuals to donate blood by sharing stories and explaining the impact of donations.
- Meet recruitment goals that support hospitals and patients in need.
- Follow up on donor leads and build lasting relationships to encourage repeat donations.
