About The Position

The Donation Door Attendant greets and assists donors in a fast-paced environment, providing top-notch service. The attendant assists with unloading vehicles, treats donations respectfully, sorts donations into the proper category containers, and keeps donation areas clean inside and out. The role requires initiative, staying productive, striving to meet daily goals, and following Easterseals-Goodwill's established Best Practices. The attendant must also assist with all aspects of operations as directed.

The position involves physical work throughout the shift, including standing, stooping, bending, carrying, and moving items weighing 20–100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or mechanical assistance. Work may involve exposure to extreme changes in temperature and humidity. The schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. A background check is required; criminal convictions do not automatically bar employment.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and carry for the entire shift, excluding break times.
• Ability to use hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Ability to move 20–100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance.
• Tolerance for extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements.
• Completion of a background check.
