About The Position

The Donation Door Attendant greets and assists donors in a fast-paced environment and provides top-notch service. The role assists with unloading donated items from vehicles, treats donations with respect, and sorts them into the proper containers by category. The attendant keeps the donation areas clean, both inside and outside, stays busy as a self-starter, and strives to meet daily goals. Duties are performed according to ESGW's established Best Practices, and the attendant must assist in all aspects of operations as directed.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and carry for the entire shift, excluding break times.
• Must use hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Must be able to move 20–100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance.
• Must tolerate extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Must be able to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements.
• Schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Completion of a background check is required; criminal convictions do not automatically bar employment.
