Donation Attendant
About The Position
The Donation Attendant (Multi-Location) represents Goodwill at donation receiving sites, including Goodwill stores, Attended Donation Centers (ADCs), and community donation events. The role supports the intake, processing, and distribution of donated goods, while helping donors have a positive experience. Duties include greeting donors, accepting donations, providing receipts, and explaining Goodwill’s mission and donation guidelines. The Donation Attendant communicates regularly with the Retail Store Manager and/or Donation Attendant Supervisor, maintains company appearance standards, and follows safety standards and operating procedures when using equipment, tools, and machinery. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Greet donors in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
- Assist donors with unloading donations, provide receipts, and thank donors for supporting Goodwill.
- Direct donor vehicle traffic when necessary.
- Assist with donation tracking and record keeping.
- Identify acceptable and unacceptable donation items.
- Represent the company in the community and provide general information about Goodwill’s mission, services, and programs.
- Communicate regularly with the Retail Store Manager and/or Donation Attendant Supervisor.
- Adhere to company uniform and appearance standards and maintain a professional image.
- Comply with safety standards and follow operating procedures when using equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
