About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is hiring a Donation Attendant to serve as a first point of contact for donors. The role provides friendly service, assists with unloading donations, and ensures donated items are handled safely and efficiently. The work supports Goodwill’s mission of changing lives through employment, education, and training. Donation Attendants may work at various donation center locations as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in varying outdoor weather conditions.
• One year or less of work experience required.
• Strong judgment and professionalism when interacting with the public and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail, warehouse, or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting donors professionally and showing appreciation.
• Assist donors with unloading vehicles and handle donations safely and carefully.
• Issue donation receipts and maintain accurate daily donor records.
• Sort donated items by category and place them in designated containers for processing.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the donation site.
• Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations as needed.
• Work at various donation center locations as assigned.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and Goodwill’s Code of Ethics.
• Promptly report potential losses or safety concerns to leadership.
