About The Position

The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible pet lovers to provide in-home dog or cat sitting visits and dog walking in the Greensboro, NC metro area while clients are away. This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor position. Jobs are voluntary, and sitters set their availability and service area; the company matches sitters with clients. The role involves caring for pets, following client instructions, and helping pet parents travel with peace of mind while building trust with repeat clients.

Services include dog walks lasting 30–90 minutes, drop-in visits lasting 30, 45, or 60 minutes, extended daytime visits of 2–8 hours, overnight stays of 10–12 hours, and 24-hour live-in care with overnight care. Most visits occur while clients are traveling, so weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening availability is especially valuable.

Requirements

• Experience caring for dogs or cats, especially in a pet-sitting capacity.
• Confidence handling dogs from small to large.
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
• A smartphone with reliable internet access and a camera.

Nice To Haves

• Experience administering oral medication, injections, or fluids.
• Availability on holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Feed pets and refresh their water.
• Clean up pet waste.
• Provide playtime, affection, or companionship according to each pet’s personality.
• Send visit updates and photos through the company app.
• Follow each client’s detailed care instructions.
• Bring in mail or packages when requested.
• Adjust lights or blinds and handle trash or recycling when requested.
• Administer medication when within the sitter’s experience and comfort level.
